Tula

Since we were flying out of Mexico City for our trip to Guatemala, we decided to drive down and stop to see the ancient remains in Tula.  These remains are believed to have existed around the year 1000, in the capital city of the Toltecs.  Like many ancient cities of that time, not much remains after years of looting.  However, in the late 1800s and after, several sections of the large stepped pyramids and statues have been recovered.

That's Willl and Alya, precariously perched on the edge in the middle.

The shops lining the path to the remains.
a happy customer
